For tenants.
Everything you need during your tenancy at Cobane, in one place. From your first day until you move out.
On arrival.
- You get your keys on the start date of your lease.
- Go through the inventory of fixtures together and take your own photos of your room.
- Report straight away anything that is broken or missing, using the form at the bottom of this page.
- Bring your own mattress and desk chair, for hygiene reasons.
- Depending on the residence, your room is furnished (bed, desk and wardrobe) or unfurnished.
During the year.
- Cobane cleans the shared areas every week and puts the bins out.
- You look after your own room, and you do your own dishes.
- Going on Erasmus or an internship? In consultation with Cobane, a replacement can take over your room.
- Check whether your parents’ family insurance covers you in your student room.
Rent and costs.
You pay one fixed amount every month, as agreed in your lease. Electricity, gas, water, waste collection and internet are included. There is no final settlement.
Something is added only in these cases:
- Your own fridge, air conditioning or extra heating: €20 per month.
- Living with two in your room: €60 per month.
Planning either of these? Let us know in advance.
Lease and deposit.
- Your lease runs for 12 months.
- The deposit is 2 months’ rent. You pay it into Cobane’s account or arrange it through an organisation such as Korfine or your bank.
- After the check of your room when you leave, your deposit is refunded.
When you leave.
- Leave your room in the best possible condition: cleaned, without marks on the walls and without holes (for example from nails or screws).
- Take all your belongings with you.
